Okay, so today I’m sharing a relatively good read to me since my reading schedule has been playing tricks on me, resulting in being stuck in a terrible reading slump for almost an entire month. That’s when the heroic book today comes to my rescue and now I’m super pumped to binge read a bunch of my TBRs! 😀

My Review
(Whoa, so apparently there are some major changes with this blog and format as there are so many new widgets & functions I didn’t know exist until now like this star-rating thingy! LOL)
First thing first, The Christmas Spirit is quite an interesting and totally enjoyable read. I picked up this book simply because of its intriguing and full-of-Christmassy-vibes synopsis and the fact that there’d potentially be some swoony romance, which has become my most favorite genre recently.
Judging from its blurb, I could easily picture the main characters having some lovely moments in the remote mountain cabin and all that getting-to-know-each-other jazz. What took me by surprise was the SUSPENSE. Kinda romantic suspense. Never in a million years would I expect something deliciously suspenseful coming from this book and you know what? I delightfully enjoyed all the tantalizing mysteries regarding the creepy fairy tales about the Christmas Spirit.
Undoubtedly, the characters were unforgettable and the stories each one of them shared were equally memorable. There were indeed some thought-provoking meanings behind all the folklores, however nonsense they might seem. Besides, the coincidence you’d find in the end of the book was an icing on the cake and that was what made this book stand out.
All in all, I’d recommend The Christmas Spirit to everyone, especially those who are looking for a unique reading experience with some wicked protagonists and supernatural creatures. *wink*
