Old hurt runs deep…
After she left, I was given a second chance at life thanks to my savior and adoptive father. A chance I refused to waste. Determined to be invincible, I became a true fighter in every sense of the word. Nothing and no one would get in my way.
Not even the guy who sat behind me in class.
Zack Graves had the entire world in his hands. A promising hockey career and the confidence and gorgeous looks that had every girl throwing themselves at his feet.
Except me. I was only too happy to wipe the sexy smirk off his face while tossing him on his smug ass.
And he kept coming back for more.
I kept my scars hidden, until Zack managed to trace the lines straight to a place I fought to keep guarded.
Zack was fighting his own immortality, his own scars becoming visible the closer we got. He challenged my guard at every turn forcing me to fight harder, only to realize he would be my undoing.
But some wounds refuse to heal.
It’s spring, 1970. The Vietnam War has been raging for years with no end in sight. Janey Martin, a California college student and aspiring journalist is tired of writing puff pieces about her university men’s sports teams. She wants to be taken seriously as a journalist and as a woman. With riots at their doorstep, her wealthy father sends Janey to the Sorbonne in Paris to finish her college education away from the chaos.
Janey is reluctant to leave the Big Story that is Vietnam, but vows to prove herself. Much to her dismay, her first assignment is to interview the hotshot star forward of a local soccer team. Janey is sure Adrien Rousseau is going to be like every other playboy jock she’s ever dealt with, but quickly learns there is much more to Adrien than meets the eye.
The mysterious, sexy footballer just might be the biggest story of Janey’s life.
How’s your week so far? I hope you’re doing great. 🙂
Today I’m excited to reveal another gorgeous cover for one of my all-time-favorite authors, Emma Scott‘s new book, One Good Man. Technically, it’s not a new story since it’s already published in Team Player, an anthology written by Emma along with 10 other authors back in 2017, BUT she promised there’d be an EXTENDED EPILOGUE,
a.k.a. steamy r-rated scenes, in this standalone; hence, there’s no way I’m turning down this fantastic opportunity to spread the word about it. *wiggling eyebrows*
Without further ado, let’s check the stunning cover out, shall we?
