Hello, hello, hello!!!
Happy weekend, lovely people! It’s been a while since I posted something here but life has become more and more hectic due to the heavy workload. I’m back at working almost 12 hours a day and we had to work six days last week so not much time to engage at all. 😥
Despite the fact that I barely have time to hang around in the book community, there’s no way I’ll skip this amazing opportunity spreading the word about my latest favorite read, The Day He Went Away, by Jennifer Millikin, an incredibly talented author I’ve come to love ever since I read Good on Paper last year.
This book totally wrecked me but I still couldn’t recommend it enough. That being said, what are we waiting for? Let’s get this party started, shall we?
I believed I had my future all planned out.
College, track, friends, I mean, why wouldn’t I? I was a nineteen-year-old girl in college with a dream of being an Olympian that wasn’t too far within reach as a college top track star.
A jeep I could roll the windows down while the radio blasted as I sang off-key.
My own dorm that gifted me privacy from my two triplet brothers.
I had it all.
But just like many, I took it all for granted. That’s until my life turned upside down, and everything changed. I nearly became one more lost soul. Without the love of my family, friends, and a very charming soccer player, I would’ve truly lost myself in the process.
This is my story and how I began to see beyond what’s right in front of me.
Funny, all I had to do was open my eyes.
The only problem is time.
lived a life never truly paying attention to the world around me. I had my dad, my grams, and my soccer ball. I was perfectly fine with the way I lived life.
Why grow attached to things that can walk away?
That’s until I saw her.
The girl I never thought I would find–the one who made me see in a different perspective.
Oh, and how beautiful it is. (From: Goodreads)
Miss Fix-It—that’s me. And when my sister and nephew are in danger, it’s my natural instinct to step in and get them out of Boston. The girl with the plan, always.
We land at the Rowan Inn—a charming bed-and-breakfast on the shores of the Chesapeake. A sweet little haven we’re hoping will bring us the peace we so desperately need.
Instead, it brings us Jesse Rowan, the gruff and grumpy son of the original owners. The same guy who is single-handedly sinking the Inn faster than an anchor in the bay. But we need a place to crash until I can figure out our next move, so I convince him to let us stay in exchange for help around the place.
At first, he’s rude, sarcastic, and standoffish. But after a few months of working around the Inn together, I realize he’s not as callous as he’d like us to think. And I realize that maybe the Inn isn’t the only project I want to take on. He needs some fixing, too.
But the Inn has to be just a pitstop for us. And as long as we’re on the run, Jesse Rowan can’t be my final destination. (From: Goodreads)
Happy 2020, guys!!!
What better way to kickstart this beautiful, brand-new year than to share with you my recent favorite read? If you’ve been following around, then the book I’m going to recommend would be no stranger to you because I’ve been raving about it several times before. *wink* Have you guessed it?
*drum’s still rolling*
I hope you got it right! SO, THAT GOT WEIRD by Amelia Kingston is the book I’m referring to and you’re about to see why I adore the book so much and why you shouldn’t miss it. 😀
Are you ready? (Don’t worry, even if you aren’t remotely interested in the sound of the story, there’s still a giveaway by the end of my post for a chance to win 2 of Amelia’s recent releases and an Amazon giftcard. Seriously, with all these awesome stuff going on, what are you waiting for?)
Happy Friday!!! ❤
Today I have a cool cover reveal for all of you since it’s from an author I’ve met on bookstagram and this book will be released next year. Without further ado, let’s get started!
Happy weekend, everyone!!
How’s your October so far? Can’t believe it’s edging toward the end of the month already! It feels like the beginning of Autumn but it’s almost halfway through, how come!? LOL, anyway, I’ve got a beautifully written story to share with you today so let’s get started!
He was only supposed to make my ex jealous…not make me fall in love with him.
When I discovered that my boyfriend had cheated on me with his assistant, and then left me for her, my friends and I devised a plan—to make him pay.
It was simple.
It was foolproof.
Or so I thought.
Corbin Fields was my best friend’s older brother; he was also part of my revenge plan. It was brilliant…until the unexpected happened.
I was supposed to be getting over my ex…
Not getting under my best friend’s brother.

So glad to see you again! I honestly didn’t plan to post anything today but last night, around 10:30 p.m., our government announced that we would have a typhoon (holi)day on Monday,
which surprisingly didn’t went on my radar the entire time Typhoon Mitag inching closer to us; thus, here I am, writing and scheduling blog posts like a dedicated blogger!
Last week was the release blitz of an intimidatingly THICK book called Team Player 2: A Sports Anthology written by a bunch of my favorite authors including Meghan Quinn, Emma Scott, Sara Ney, and Kate Stewart, just to name a few! As you may recall, Team Player Anthology was released around this time last year, and I think I’d spread the word about that book since I vaguely remembered how much I loved the stories.
The first book was indeed an enjoyable read for me and I really hope this one blows me away in all the best ways possible. ❤ Unfortunately, due to my busy working schedule, I can’t manage to finish the entire book anytime soon…BUT I definitely will in the future!!!
All right, enough rambling! Let’s get started, shall we?
Hello, beautiful people (*insert Ed Sheeran ft. Khalid’s new song*)!!
Today I’m freshening up your brand-new week with a fabulous book and a newly discovered author called The Bar Next Door by Katia Rose. Since my stop for this book blitz is supposed to be promotional only, plus I’m also halfway through the book, so in the following content, you’ll only find many yummilicious teasers, buy links, author’s info, and an international giveaway (ending in 3 days!!). As for my promised review, I’ll wait until I’m completely finished before putting my full thought up here. BUT, I can guarantee you that this book is totally worthy of trying because from what I’ve read so far, the entire plot has totally exceeded my expectation. ❤
Hello, bookish peeps!
How’s eyeryone’s June in general? This month is a whirlwind of meetings, unfinished business, and tons of workloads to me. And I have a feeling that this tight schedule won’t be over until late August…or even longer. *sigh* Aside from the exhausting reality, my bookish life has been quite amazing! Not only have I found my latest favorites, including All the Broken Pieces by L. D. Crichton, and the Caraval trilogy by Stephanie Garber, but I’ve also got some book mails/book boxes that I cannot wait to share with you. ❤
Before I get too carried away with all the other bookish goodies, let’s get back to today’s post, the Cover Reveal & Re-release party for Rebecca Shea’s Bound and Broken series! I signed up for this event simply because I think her books sound super fun and I’m currently reading the first installment, Broken by Lies, which is an enjoyable story so far. Besides, all of the works in this series can be read as standalones, making it even easier to dive in. 🙂
Without further ado, let the party begin, shall we?
