Happy Thursday, guys!
It’s been ages since I last posted a book tag but I’m glad my dear friend, Audrey @Audrey Writes Abroad, mentioned me in this super interesting book tag! Thanks, Audrey! ❤
So, let me present you with my first book tag of 2019: Where in the World?
Hope you’re having a lot of fun here! 😉
Knock, knock! Trick or treat?
It’s almost Halloween and it feels right to do a mini Halloween book tag, don’t you think so? I’m initially tagged by the lovely Dora @SwiftCoffee for a Halloween Creatures pick and believe me, I really want to answer all of those interesting questions but I’m preoccupied with work at the moment, I have no choice but to do a mini one. Still, please don’t forget to stop by Dora’s blog for many original posts & bookish thoughts!
Gladly, my dear friend, Audrey @audreywritesabroad created this Halloween Book Tag, allowing me to jump on the Halloween-themed bandwagon at the last minute! Y’all should check out her answers (and BLOG for sure) because she’s an outstanding writer. 😉
Without further ado, I hope you’ll enjoy reading this tag and having a wonderful time in the meanwhile! ❤
A ringmaster’s daughter and a bearded lady’s son join forces to stop a saboteur…
Nineteen-year-old Fleur Klatsch is loyal to her trapeze team and her ringmaster father, dedicated to the circus, and tough on everyone around her. After a series of accidents at Klatsch’s Karnival, Fleur is left holding the ball: she’s running the carnival, trying to stop a saboteur, and taking care of her dad. She doesn’t need anyone’s help, least of all Eugenia Deloren’s son, Marco, who’s been trying to break out of show life since the moment he was born into it.
All Marco needs to do is get Klatsch’s back on its feet so he can leave. But after one fateful kiss with Fleur, will he really want to? And will Fleur and Marco figure out who’s trying to kill the show before someone kills them…
Dark YA romance with a criminal twist – Circus Hearts: Step. Right. Up.
Long time no see!!
How are y’all doing? Can’t believe it’s been 2 months since I last posted something here and I miss the hell out of it. *bawling* You know that feeling when you pick up your hobby-of-life for the first time after abandoning it for a long time? The thrill of sharing what you’re up to with fellow blogger friends, the excitement of waiting for an upcoming release from your favorite author, and the familiarity of being surrounded by your most faithful group of bookish besties? Yep, that’s what I’ve missed in the past few months and I surely want to reconnect with everyone/everything. 😥
So please allow me to tell you what’s going on with my life in general and what I’m gonna do about it before my short break’s whisked away not-too-unexpectedly. I’d be updating my current life status and what I plan to read this week in today’s post. Hope you enjoy it! ❤
Happy Sunday, guys!
How’s your weekend so far? I hope you’re having a great time; if not, here’s a little something to cheer you up! As you know, booklovers like you and me love not only the books themselves but also their relevant merchandise such as book swags (including bookmarks, book pins, characters-inspired posters/art works/coasters/keychains, signed book plates), bookish jewelry/accessories, candles with unique bookish scents, clothing, tote bags, and the list goes on and on and on.
Hence, when I discovered this newly established online shop called Literary Book Gifts, I couldn’t wait any longer to share the awesomeness of the website with you. I really have to say that Literary Book Gifts is pretty much made specially for us booklovers and I’m lucky enough to be offered a discount code for all of you. 😉
Without further ado, let’s take a look at this fantastic shop!

The Friday night lights shine bright on Chase Matthews. Roper’s golden boy, Chase can do no wrong, enjoying the small-town celebrity being the star quarterback brings. Hello, it’s me again!
As promised, here’s the super hyped cover reveal for Ellie Marney’s, author of the Every trilogy, upcoming dark YA romantic mystery series called Circus Hearts.
I’m fascinated by not only the book’s stunning cover but its extremely intriguing blurb so ahhh, I really can’t share them with you NOW!
It’s a brand-new week and there’s no better way than to start your day with a good book and a cup of coffee, yeah?
I should’ve posted this one earlier today since it’s almost Tuesday here now but guess what? It was the very first day of my job and even though it was a whole lot of fun, I was completely drained by the end of the day. Thus, this is the only time I get to sit in front of my favorite desk, putting some words for my blog post while listening to the soothing melody from my super antique radio.
Anyways, I can’t wait to share with you my current read and I’m wondering what yours is! 😀
So I’m reading… *drum rolls*
Ever since last year’s homecoming dance, best friends-turned-best enemies Zorie and Lennon have made an art of avoiding each other. It doesn’t hurt that their families are the modern day, Californian version of the Montagues and Capulets.
But when a group camping trip goes south, Zorie and Lennon find themselves stranded in the wilderness. Alone. Together.
What could go wrong?
With no one but each other for company, Zorie and Lennon have no choice but to hash out their issues via witty jabs and insults as they try to make their way to safety. But fighting each other while also fighting off the forces of nature makes getting out of the woods in one piece less and less likely.
And as the two travel deeper into Northern California’s rugged backcountry, secrets and hidden feelings surface. But can Zorie and Lennon’s rekindled connection survive out in the real world? Or was it just a result of the fresh forest air and the magic of the twinkling stars? (From: Goodreads)
A resourceful boy takes a glowing sailboat across the stars to search for his long-missing parents and becomes the target of pirates and an evil cabal with a sinister agenda.
Twelve-year-old Jake Flynn’s parents disappeared when he was a baby. On his twelfth birthday, the mystery of why his parent’s disappeared begins to unravel for he discovers a glowing talisman with a message from his father.
Jake is directed to a derelict sailboat, and he watches in awe as the talisman magically knits ropes and sails for it out of golden energy. Awash in light, the boat sails up into space, and the voyages of Jake Flynn begin.
During his quest to find his parents, Jake will encounter space pirates in tall sailing ships, channelers that can wield energy like magic, and evil cabalists led by a sinister snake-woman. Assisted by a young healer and her aged protector, a spirited cabin girl and salty space captain, Jake learns that he can too channel, and that he is central to stopping the cabalists from resurrecting a long-dead evil.
Puzzles, a pirate asteroid, walking the plank, fantastic magic, trapped treasure caves, multiple planets, and great ship battles – Jake must experience them all on this epic adventure. By the end, he will discover the truth of his destiny, understand that family transcends blood lines, and find that his own needs are sometimes less important than those of others.
Like other popular fantasy series, The Voyages of Jake Flynn: Destiny’s Gambit can appeal to the young and old alike. (From: Goodreads)
