JOYEUX NOËL !
In this time of appreciation and gratitude, I’d love to share some of my favorite Christmas songs, films and by the end of the post, you could expect a little e-book giveaway of the best book I’ve read this year! 😀
Shall we start?
I’ve always loved Christmas atmosphere, from the beautiful decorations on the streets, bright fairy lights in the stores to the festive, tasty delicacies on the dining tables, what’s not to love about this wonderful holiday season? Therefore, I’ve been listening to lots of Christmas songs on repeat since last weekend and also re-watched some of my childhood Christmas movies.
My recent new love is Sia’s Everyday Is Christmas album because gosh, all the songs are masterpieces! If you haven’t heard any of them, here’s a playlist where you could binge listening to all of her hits. ❤
Other than Sia’s new album, I also love Pentatonix’s, an incredible a capella group, recent Christmas tour performance. They are known for original Christmas songs and covers for pop songs though as far as I’m concerned, they haven’t released a Christmas album this year yet.
Aside from the new Christmas songs, classic ones are also my all time favorites. I believe many of you may not be unfamiliar with Wham!’s Last Christmas since it has such lovely melody and catchy yet meaningful lyrics.
Another favorite classic of mine is God Rest You Merry Gentlemen, often sang by a choir.
Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of movies–fun fact about me: I’ve only watched movies in a movie theater three times in my entire life–thus, I can’t really recommend any “popular” Christmas movies. However, I just discovered some pretty great and nostalgic short films that I’d like you to check out.
The Snowman is actually based on its best-selling children’s picture book by Raymond Briggs and the film’s theme song is the equally epic Walking in the Air. ❤
30 years after the release of The Snowman, its sequel was made into a film as well. Although The Snowman and the Snowdog isn’t as well-known as The Snowman, I actually prefer its ending better.
As for a classic Christmas movie, I’d say my favorite is A Charlie Brown Christmas because let’s admit it, no Christmas will be complete without PEANUTS!
★Christmas E-book Giveaway☆
I think Christmas is the best time to show appreciation and gratitude towards my friends and family, especially when I have such an unbelievably amazing year of 2017. Hence, here comes my very first e-book giveaway!
As some of you may know, the best book I’ve read this year is LETTERS TO ELOISE by Emily Williams, which is a story about a thoughtful mother and her beloved daughter. The story goes far beyond what I expected and the plot twist is definitely something you wouldn’t want to miss. So I’m giving away a digital copy of Letters to Eloise!!!
