Dez wasn’t just Jasmine’s crush. A gargoyle Warden like Jas, he helped her come to terms with her destiny—fending off demons and maintaining the balance between good and evil. He was her everything…right until the moment he disappeared without a trace. It didn’t help that Jas’s father had just announced that she and Dez would one day be mated. Hard not to take that personally.
And now he’s back, three years older, ten times hotter, ready to pick up exactly where they left off. But Jas isn’t taking that risk again. Dez has seven days to meet all her conditions and earn back her trust. Seven days filled with terrifying danger and sweet temptation. Seven days to win her heart—or shatter it all over again… (From: Goodreads)
Hey, for the next 3 posts, I’ll share my reviews of another amazing series by my most favorite author—Jennifer L. Armentrout. The Dark Elements series is about angels, demons, gargoyles, and a
half-breed. Although there is love-triangle in the first 2 books(not including this one), I’m glad the female main character, Layla, chose the one she really wanted to be with in the very beginning of the story in book 3. So I hope you guys love this trilogy as much as I do. 🙂
I’m finally starting this most-anticipated series of mine. The prequel was great, and I like the new characters in it. Partly because the female mc’s name is the same as mine(which makes me feel much more related to the story, umm… I hope so), and partly because those protagonists had special power and fascinating skills. The idea of gargoyle and demons is quite fresh to me and I’m very curious about their species. Even though the Upper Level Demon (I’m pretty sure he’s Roth.) appearing in the end of the book looks like Seth from the Covenant series, with amber-colored eyes and the moving-snake tattoo, I’m still thrilled to meet new guys here. So I’m going to have an amazing journey with them now! 😀
